Huddle is inspired by spontaneous discussions and sense of gathering and connectedness that we experience in shared physical spaces.

This is an interactive prototype. Try it out!

What makes us feel connected?

Recent events of COVID19 have transformed the way we gather — for work, recreation and company. Digital platforms are emerging to be effective alternatives to social gathering spaces much like urban squares, commercial centres, parks and other forms of physical gathering spaces in the city.

With the rise of these digital gathering spaces, we set out to explore the role of sound in creating a sense of gathering.

We came up with HUDDLE, a digital experience concept which imitates real time soundscapes from our physical environment.

CONCEPT

Huddle is inspired by spontaneous discussions and sense of gathering and connectedness that we experience in shared physical spaces.

As players navigate a simulated space, their mutual proximities determine the volume levels of one another, enable them to start impromptu conversations or engage with soundscapes in the space.
HUDDLE lends itself to a variety of use cases ︎︎︎
